Amsonia Hubrichii (Apocynaceae)

$12.00

Also known as Arkansas blue star. This award winning, North American native is a great garden plant with a year around show. Clusters of sky blue, star shaped flowers through late spring. The lacy, green foliage stay green and nice all summer, turning bright yellow in the fall and persisting late in the garden. The form becomes more shrub-like as the plant ages making a more striking display. Likes a sunny location in rich, but well drained soil. Hubrichii, or Hubricht’s bluestar is a North American native amsonia from Arkansas and Oklahoma, though perfectly hardy to zone 4.
