Mountain sandwort is a low growing evergreen perennial from the mountainous regions of southwest Europe and into Portugal. This easy to grow, mat forming plant flowers in spring and into the summer over delicate foliage. Good drainage and even moisture and a sunny spot are key to growing this shallow rooted alpine. Makes a nice addition to a larger rock garden setting or as a solitary plant in a trough or planter. Looks nice nesting around rocks.
