The Trumpet Vine of the southeast US. A vigorous climber with dark pinnate leaves to 12” long in groups of 7-11 leaflets. in late summer to autumn it bears terminal panicles of 6-12 trumpet shaped flowers usually in red and some cultivars and selections in yellow. This is a woody climber generally referenced as a zone 5 plant but seems perfectly hardy in our “new” zone 4. Can vine up to 25ft so give it a good trellis and a lot of room. Grows best in rich soil and can handle full sun.

We currently have the yellow form grown from seed.

Available in deep 5” pots.
