Uvularia is a little genus of only five species, all of which are native to the eastern US. Known commonly as bellwort, the grandiflora species in particular makes a top notch woodland plant. The plant rises on a strong stem with downward pointing leaves to 30”. It flowers late spring, bearing pendant, bell shaped, yellow flowers with showy, slightly twisted tepals. Though the flowers fade by early summer, the plant holds up well, making a strong background and mixing well with other woodland plant. It expands slowly and is not invasive, really a top notch native garden plant. Currently we offer the grandiflora species.
Sold in deep 6” pots. Well established divisions from Cady’s Falls.
